april vacation to st. george

I have been horrible about updating this blog since we have continued to have internet troubles. I am vowing to try and keep it updated much better now that we have settled down a bit and our internet options are a bit more regular. Recently we had the great pleasure of attending my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary celebration in utah. While we were there we were able to see my sister and her family as well as make a trip down to St. George where we were able to go visit Zion National Park. We were very fortunate to have one of Jeff's Co-workers set up the use of his time share for us so we had great accommodations. Here are a few pictures of where we stayed and of Bay and Jeff. I hope to get more posts in this week so stay tuned...
Can you believe how big he has gotten? He is almost two!

These last two photos are of the view from our patio at the condo...nice view huh?

we are back online

I am sorry that we are not better about updating this blog but our internet has really been on the fritz for awhile. I promise to be better. We are all doing well. Life is busy for us as usual but we are enjoying every moment of it. Bay is growing like a weed. He is already 20 months. He is talking up a storm these days and seems like he is adding to his vocabulary on a daily basis. We just entered him in a contest for America's cutest baby. We will find out of he is a finalist in march. If he is we will need everyone's support and lots of votes. Its mostly just wishful thinking but wouldn't it be great if he won so he had a great scholarship? Here is the photo we entered for the contest.

new boots

Today we decided that Bay needed a pair of snow boots. I have been having a heck of a time trying to find some that are in his size. Almost every store I have looked for them at has been sold out. Lucky us, we found a great pair for bay at REI. Here is a video of him taking his first steps in his new kicks. Notice how he stomps when he gets onto the wooden floor its very funny.

Saturday in Bend

Today was another busy day for our family. It was nice to sleep in a bit and have a big breakfast at the hotel to start out our day. After breakfast we went to the shops down at the old mill and just spent the day looking around, picking some things up, having lunch at Pastini's ( one of our favorite restaurants), and chasing Bay around the outdoor mall. Here are some pictures from our day.
These are pictures of the first fire station in bend. If my memory serves me right it was built in 1927. Its not a working station anymore but a restaurant. It would have been even more neat if they would have kept it a station but it was neat none the less.
This is a shot of bay in his new boots. It was so funny to watch him walk in them. He seemed to really like walking around in them.

Look closely at these pictures of Bay and notice his static hair, it was soooo funny! I was laughing so hard every time he walked by the puffy coats at REI.

old town pizza

We are on a short visit to Bend a sort of "weekend getaway" to escape the daily grind. We got in later in the evening and checked into our room and spent some time just walking around downtown looking in shops and galleries before going to dinner. We were recommended to go to Old Town Pizza which was very very good. After dinner we just went back to our hotel and went to bed so we were rested for the next day of adventures.

Random pictures

I was looking over my photos and thought that these were just worth sharing. the first photo is how bay fell asleep the other night. It was so funny to see the death grip on the measuring tape.
Whiskers like to sleep next to warm bodies and bay definitely qualifies. I thought it was cute to see the two of them snuggling together.
Lastly the final one is just cute of him in his Halloween shirt and socks. I just loved how it was candid.

Halloween

As mentioned earlier we had a very busy Halloween holiday. Our day began with tailgating before the BSU game (only for a short 10-20 mins), then we went to the game, after which we got ready and dressed up to trick or treat with BAY before having dinner. We just trick or treated at the mall for a bit before having dinner at old Chicago. We decided to do a family theme this year for Halloween. Jeff was a great sport and dressed up. We were the animals from Australia. Jeff was a crocodile, I was a Koala and Bay was a Kangaroo. Here are some pictures of all of us dressed up.

BSU game

Halloween was a very busy holiday for us this year. Jeff's dad got us all tickets for the BSU game vs. San Jose State. We had great seats right down near the field, and it gave us an excuse to dress up in orange for the day which was so appropriate as it was Halloween after all. The game was fun, BSU never seems to disappoint these last few years/ I just hope that they get the national attention that they deserve for how well they play the game of football. Here are some pictures from the land of the blue (smurf) turf!

funny little boy

The other night after Bay finished eating a cookie he was being really funny and giggling really hard. I am not sure what he I was doing that was making him laugh so hard but I decided to take a movie of it because it was so funny. Hopefully it will make you smile or laugh as much as we did.

bird bath splashes

Awhile back we went to Oregon to visit my family. While we were visiting my brother and his wife Bay discovered a bird bath in their back yard. He thought it was great to play with and splash in. Take a look, it is pretty funny.

playing with whiskers

Bay has been playing with Whiskers much more lately. Bay thinks that it is so funny that the cat will chase him. Whiskers is chasing after a soft measuring tape that Bay is holding. I figured this movie was good for a laugh.

fun pictures

I apologize to all of you who have been checking our blog for photos and updates but our internet connection has not been working well and we have not been able to post. We are on vacation and have access to fast internet so I will attempt to try and play catch up a bit...I will try and do better...Here are some funny pictures of emma and bay in the cougar stroller, bay eating a chocolate chip cookie, and reading a magazine...enjoy!

crazy couch video

Bay loves to horse around on anything that is soft. See what I mean?

are boys born like this too?

I don't know it anyone has seen the video about the little girl who is babbling non-stop in the car...if you haven't you need to check out the link below. If you have already then keep reading.

If you have already seen that video then you will appreciate Bay's version.

More random photos

I am still playing catch up on old photos, here are a few more of the things that we have been up and some of my favorite photos that we have taken.Last week one of our friends was in a jam and needed a sitter for her 3 and a half year old kid for 12 hours, guess who got to help? Yep me! I watched Cody for 12 hours in addition to Bay and Emma. It was a wild day but it went pretty well and we had fun playing with Cody. Here is a picture of her that we took at the ice cream shop. She is such a beautiful little girl and so sweet.
Here is what Emma looks like when Candace feeds her...sweet potatoes anyone?
We bought a bike trailer/stroller system called the chariot cougar. We just call it our cougar because we think that it is funny. Its so nice being able to have Jeff and I go on bike rides as a family now that bay has somewhere safe to sit. We have been trying it out with him and Emma since we bought a 2 seater and so far its been great. The kids like it and I like being able to get out of the house.
The car fetish continues. He still is way into knobs and cars these days. He always has one near by. We took this picture while we were at the really neat coffee shop near our house.
Yep another cute picture of Bay again. Every time I put the sunglasses on him he grins for awhile before he takes them off. I just love his smile in this one.

recent photos

I admit that I am so far behind on my blog that I am embarassed so I will just start with the random recent photos that I have taken of things that we have been up to. This first photo was taken at the park where we had Bay's birthday party. This tongue look is pretty typical these days I like to call it the "lizard look". We have no idea why his tongue is always out but it is...he is a strange one sometimes.
This next photo is funny because we brought this baby bouncer over to our house from Candace and Chad's with hopes to get Emma in it but look who likes it more than her. Yes he climbs in there and sometimes out by himself. He has spend way more time in there now than Emma has so far. I guess it is good that someone is liking it so much huh?
Finally the helmet photo. While we were at REI one night looking at helmets I decided to snap this photo because I thought his giggling and laughing over the helmet on his head were cute.

Well that is all for now. I promise as long as our internet cooperates that we will post more pictures again soon..rach

sleeping baby

I was looking through the last few sets of picture that I have taken and I couldn't help hut laugh as I noticed how many of them I have taken of him while he has been asleep.

I are still here...dont worry!

I know that I am way behind on posts but our internet is so slow at our house and I am pretty busy watching 2 kids for 9 hours a day. I have lots of photos to post but will have to do a bit at a time because of the connection speed. I guess I will just start with the oldest photos first and post a few at a time.

One evening during the summer we watched Emma so Chad and Candace could go and see a movie together. It is over 100 degrees outside so rather than walk around or spend time outside we took the kids to the Main Boise Library. Here are a few photos from our visit. Look at how fast Emma is growing up...

bay loves the fountain

There is a fountain in the center of downtown eagle that I have been so excited to take Bay all summer. The first few times that we took him there this summer he cried and was scared of the water, so we took him swimming and from that point on he has loved the water. We take him there just about every week when we go to the Saturday Market and he get so excited to get into the water with all the other kids, its fun to watch him interact with other kids.
